    Tuesday

    I feel...

    lethargic, sluggish, drowsy, inactive, whiney...

I guess I'm going to fall sick. Perhaps I've been in a haste for the past few days. Driving, studying, my cousin's wedding.. blah blah blah..

But yay! I've finally cleared all my driving lessons, in the sense that I've cleared my stage 5 so that bbdc will not cancel my driving test at the end of this month. I had to squeeze in all my lessons -- all thanks to their new change in system. =.="

Great, I still have CMFAS exam to prepare. And it's driving me nuts.

Ok, I'm really too tired to continue. And I'm still sniffing.

    Tissuebox time.

I'm back from HK! It was a fun trip and surprisingly, I find Disneyland the most enjoyable of all although I would give a higher rating to Tokyo's Disneyland. Hmm. Perhaps I was expecting it to be a lousy experience?

Anyway, due to time constraint, I'll update later (including the photos). Will be blogging less too. This whole week, or rather, the rest of the month, will be dedicated to my CMFAS exam preparation, which is giving me hell, my driving lessons, practically almost everyday, Ping's wedding preparation (she wanna exploit me) etc etc. All in all, I still have to make time for friends and of course, little little entertainments for myself. Gee.

Can't wait for Pirates. But for now, books. Sulk.

    Insane!

For the past 3 days, I woke up at the time I slept usually, would be either stoning or awe-ing at the view on Benjamin Sheares bridge at around 5 past 6 in the morning.

The conference "Pan Asia Rising Stars" Conference by Merrill Lynch was a exalted. These days, the finance sector is booming. Their budget seemed umlimited, at least to me. Deals were clinched in millions or billions, corporates were trying to impress the investors. An eye-opening experience to me.

My expected styrofoam-packet lunches were actually high class set meals in a very grand ballroom with people serving us and/or Ritz Carlton's buffet lunch. Refreshments were served like there were free. By the second day, the ladies, especially ZhenZhu was complaining about the guilt instilled in her (me too) and conversations were already on how to burn those calories. The ultimate solution was, besides exercising, to dump food we couldn't finish onto the guys' plates. Ha! My poor partner! Zhen Cong had to finish what ZZ n I could'nt.

The job? All I had to do was to do some administrative matters during the hourly intervals. ZC and I either chit-chat, lame, draw on papers, teased the security guards or coffee/tea for while waiting for the interval. Talking about security guards, they were very professional and smartly-dressed. So cool. The younger security guards, especially James, were quite friendly. We chatted all the way, exchanging experiences and talking blah to kill time.

Merrill Lynch's staffs were either very friendly or too "cool". Managed to exchange conversations with a lady called Carmen Schwender from New York and a HK stock broker. Very interesting and intellectual conversations about their work and I received very good advises from them. They were friendly but on the other hand, I was quite disturbed by some stuck-up and proud investors and corporates -- they had the "do you know you are wasting my time look" and their noses were so high up in the air! Yes, these people were either highly influential or damn rich bankers but no need to despise us -- anyway we were quite redundant, we were present just to make Merrill Lynch looked good and professional, to quote it nicely. Merrill is just too damn rich, lah.

I have an idea of what I want and do in life, a little stimulated by this conference. For now, I had to settle alot of other stuffs before I go for my job hunt.

May's Birthday last Sunday. So, Chris's house is just a walk away from mine. Duh. Michael and our uncle red and all the others were so fun. Didn't help out much in the BBQ though. But it was a nice BBQ! Good food.

Aw, food makes me... gratified yet guilty.. A jog and swim today make me feel so much better today.

Okies, a few forgotten events here and there. Update again soon!

Feel so nua now. But yay, guild war later! *Grin*

Bear with me, this post might be a random one.

100 MCQs, 2 hours. The lecturer didn't even tell us the number of questions, the format of the exam(although it's quite obvious) and the duration of the exam. Ok, I shan't complain much of the 100MCQs since JM had a 200MCQs GEM paper earlier(how disgusting is that?). It wasn't the long and tough questions per se, it was the boredom and diminishing drive of continuing the MCQs even before reaching question 50. To irk me further, I had my strong distaste from surfeit with some "peculiar" habits of our fellow students. First, there's this lady sitting to the right, displaying her bare foot right in my direction. As if that wasn't enough, another guy to the diagonal left in front of me kept shaking his feet and legs intensely, like he was having an epileptic seizure. Not that I wanna be mean, I usually don't mind(unless it's somebody I know, hee) but his rubber slippers seemed to be given out an irritating squirks like it's been previously immesed in water. Plus the speed and intensity of the shaking, the amount of fat cells burnt should be equivalent to at least a 2.4km run calorie burn since he's been "working out" vigorously for the full 2 hrs in the exam hall. But anyway, it's over!

Although the holiday does appeal to me, I kinda feel that the end of exam is more of a reprieve than a relief to me. I simply detest the draggy exam period but the end of this exam(most probably) will mark another stage of my life; In other words, I have to be on the lookout now. I am kinda excited about it, I wanna embrace my new life, yet the thought of it somehow perplexed me.

On a brighter note, many many activites coming up next. I might not have the time to come online and the revamp of my blog will have to drag since I'll not be home most of the time.

I love to indulge in the hot hot steam bath after my workout everytime and that's only possible if I go to a gym. I've been jogging and swimming but no gym-ing. I finally went back to Hyatt gym yesterday but it's closing for a renovation soon. Dear and me was still wondering if we'll see Dick Lee again. Haa. And I casually joked about GI and "sense of identity and place" and of course, all from Kong (1996) article doing a cultural investigation on Dick Lee's transcultural music. Ok, no more geography.

Supper with the gang at night. The guys were talking about their future, study and trip while XiaoJing and me were detached and totally engrossed in our own world, engaged in our girly stuffs. Girls are girls, we yak and yak on for hours, occasionally tuned in to what the guys were talking about. The topic of their future, study and exam drifted off to an island getaway plan. Beach beach! Somehow, (although I shun away from the sun but I love it) I've been thinking of bikini, the warm sun, the soft sand and the clear sea recently. That would be nice, I thought.

Wei and me discuessed about the Taiwan trip and came to a final conclusion -- Taiwan trip was cancelled. I thought it was a good deal for a peak travel period like June but there's a better package in July and she prolly will be going with her friends.

Anyway, I'll be working next Wed till Fri. The JJ's mother has this event -- the Merill Lynch International Bank Conference at Ritz Carlton. So cool! Thanks guys!

XuanPing is getting married!! And suddenly my holiday is exploited by her (she used "exploited" herself, not me) cos I'll be her bridesmaid! I'm thrilled at the idea of my first bridesmaid's experience and to be exposed to firsthand experience of a wedding preparation. She said she'll be exploiting me starting from this month onwards. Ok, fair, since she gave me the liberty to choose the colour of my dress/gown. But I rejected the idea since it's her wedding and my gown should, instead, fit into her theme. However, I'm still confused by the different kind of bridesmaids -- she had 2 or 3 and I'm unsure which role I played. She did explain to me the different types but I still don't get it. Anyway, she said,"Not much difference, same work responsibilities". Haha, ok, fair enough.

Before I forgot, CONGRATS my Dear!!! You actually passed through the 15 rounds of interview! A tough competition indeed. Work hard! I'll be supporting you allll the way, with lotsa lovessss!! For now, just wait for the HK Human Resource to contact you again. I'm so proud of you. All the best!!!

Oops. Okies, I'm running late, better be off for now. Update again!
